Carriers of Time celebrates the enduring presence of the camel in the landscape and memory of the Arabian desert. Created entirely with coffee on watercolour paper, the work portrays two camels moving through a vast, sun-drenched desert at dusk—silhouetted against a luminous sky where clouds part around a full, glowing sun.

The camel has long been a symbol of patience, resilience and the passage of time across desert civilisations. Here, they move without urgency through rolling dunes, birds drifting overhead, distant palms marking the horizon. The warm monochromatic tones of coffee dissolve the boundary between earth and sky, creating a scene that feels both ancient and immediate.
