One soul, holding its light, its darkness, and everything it has been.
DESCRIPTION
Original artwork by Cristina Gabriela.
Holótēs — Wholeness — gives form to the different parts of a single soul. One presence emerges into light while the other remains in shadow. A continuous passage of drapery joins them, allowing the eye to follow the same substance through both.
The painting speaks of the coexistence of our bright and darker sides, of who we were and who we have become. What changes within us remains part of us. Wholeness begins in allowing these parts to belong.
Through chiaroscuro, soft edges and flowing folds, Holótēs continues Cristina Gabriela’s exploration of the human condition alongside Metaxy, Ananke and Hipomonē. The faces remain undefined, leaving space for the viewer’s own recognition.
