Every painting begins with a question rather than an image.

Working with oil, mixed media and textured surfaces, Cristina Gabriela creates contemporary paintings that explore silence, memory, thresholds and the human condition. Light is never decoration. Darkness is never absence. Every surface carries traces of time, gestures and lived experience.

These original paintings are not intended to describe a place but to create one. A doorway, a distant figure, a path, or an endless horizon become invitations to pause and reflect rather than symbols with fixed meanings. Each work leaves space for the viewer to complete the story.

Texture is built slowly through layers of materials before being united with oil paint, allowing every painting to exist between painting and object. The physical surface becomes part of the narrative, carrying both fragility and permanence.

The collection includes contemporary landscape paintings, atmospheric abstract works and conceptual compositions created for collectors, galleries and museum exhibitions. Every artwork is an original, created by hand in the artist’s Dubai studio.
